FEATURED WINERIES & DISTILLERIES
In 1999, Rebecca and Peter Work purchased 82 acres in what would later become the Sta. Rita Hills appellation, and named it “Ampelos,” the Greek word for vine. Located in the cool climate area of the eastern Sta. Rita Hills, Ampelos Vineyard & Cellars produces approximately 5,000 cases per year and is resolute in their passion to produce hands-on, minimally invasive wines made with organic grapes.
Owner Mark Lyon has been overseeing his 133-acre vineyard in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, since the 1970s. He launched Eco Terreno Wines in 2012, and it is now the largest Biodynamically farmed contiguous vineyard in Alexander Valley. Their award-winning wines are made with 100% estate grown grapes which reflect their unique terroir.
Spring Seed Wines are made from grapes lovingly grown in the Bosworth family’s organic vineyards, located in the premium wine region of McLaren Vale, South Australia. The vineyards were established in the early 1970s by Peter and Anthea Bosworth, and are now owned and run by their son Joch and partner Louise Hemsley-Smith, who began the conversion to organic viticulture in 1995.
