The signature grape of Spanish wine, Tempranillo has been around for a long, long time. It’s been grown on the Iberian Peninsula since the Phoenicians settled it in 1100 B.C. With a nice balance of earthiness and fruit, Tempranillo pairs well with a wide variety of food (think tapas - but also pizza, grilled meats, polenta, and chile rellenos).
