We are excited to introduce four new South American wines this month. A Cabernet and a Rosé from Chakana Winery's Inkarri line — wines that have quickly become known for their unbeatable value for organic & Biodynamic Argentinian wine. Also just in are two incredible Chilean red blends from Koyle Family Vineyards in the Colchagua Valley, with impressively high ratings.

Chakana Inkarri Cabernet Sauvignon - Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza - 2018

Aromas of roasted red pepper and sweet red fruit with vanilla, chocolate & spice. Full bodied with very soft tannins. Aged 8-12 months in French oak barrels (15% new oak, 85% used barrels). Made with organic grapes. Suitable for vegans.

Chakana Inkarri Rosé - Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza - 2018

Crisp and vibrant, with floral and red fruit notes. Made with organic grapes. Certified Biodynamic by Demeter. Suitable for vegans.

Composition: 67% Syrah, 23% Malbec, 10% Tannat

This blend of 75% Carménère & 25% Cabernet Franc has pure and clean aromas, with a touch of complexity from the spiciness and graphite notes. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced. The tannins are silky and velvety, with a long, juicy and mineral finish that is influenced by the basalt rock. Made with organic grapes. Certified Biodynamic by Demeter. Aged 18 months in French oak.

Koyle Cerro Basalto Red Blend - Colchagua Valley DO - 2016 - 6/750ml - Comes in a wood box!

Aromatic with rose, strawberry, raspberry and wild cherry flavors layered with hints of bay leaf, cinnamon and roasted tobacco in the background. Silky, yet with a solid structure supporting the flavors. Shows fine length and leaves a mouthwatering impression, with a soft bitterness in the final palate that reveals its volcanic origin. Made with organic grapes. Aged 18 months in foudres and concrete egg.
